Sharvan Kumar is currently an Assistant Professor. He completed his B.Sc. and M.Sc. at the University of Allahabad (2005-2010) then moved to Jawaharlal Nehru University to pursue his Ph.D. under the supervision of Prof. Pritam Mukhopadhyay (2011-2018), on Synthesis of Ambient Stable Radical Ions, Radical Ion-Pairs, Highly Electron-Deficient and Electron Rich Systems: Self-Assembly, Opto-Electronic and Magnetic Properties. In 2018, He started working as a Research Associate at IIT Delhi with Prof. Nidhi Jain and Prof. Shalini Gupta. Then he received the prestigious JSPS postdoctoral fellowship (2019) to work in Japan where he worked with Prof. Shu Seki at Kyoto University (Nov. 2019- Nov. 2021). During that period he received another prestigious Alexander von Humboldt (AvH) postdoctoral fellowship (2021) to work in Germany and was working with Prof. Todd B. Marder at Julius Maximilians University of Wuerzburg (Nov. 2021-June 2023).
Outside of the lab, he attempts to maintain a level of athleticism through running, hiking, trekking, playing cricket, and exercise. He loves poetry. His other interests include music, movies, and TV series.
